We offer furnished private rooms with all utilities included at rates well below the Houston market average. We accept VA Aid & Attendance benefits, HUD-VASH vouchers, Social Security, SSI, and private pay — removing the financial barriers that often stand between veterans and stable housing.

Dwayne Brown is a service-disabled U.S. Army veteran and lifelong Houston-area resident. After his military service, Dwayne witnessed firsthand how difficult it can be for veterans and seniors on fixed incomes to find safe, clean, affordable housing in a city where market rents continue to climb.
He founded Humble Abode Living LLC on May 29, 2026, with a personal commitment to change that. By offering fully furnished rooms with all utilities included at affordable rates below market, Dwayne is building the kind of housing option he wishes had existed for the veterans he served alongside.
As a service-disabled veteran, Dwayne understands the challenges of transitioning to civilian life and the importance of stable housing as a foundation for everything else — health, employment, community, and peace of mind.
